She dragged herself to the kitchen on a rainy Monday morning. She tossed a bagel into the dishwasher, poured a cup of coffee, and set the cooking level on the TV to high. She inhaled the aroma of her coffee, and said as she stared into the black abyss, “you are my sunshine!”

Ha ha...it sounds like a lot of us have experienced this Monday morning. I love the picture.
Funny, but I feel exactly the same way. I can not function without coffee every morning.
Oh yes...my morning sunshine comes in black, too. No cream, no sugar. High octane preferred! Excellent use of the prompt!
Since we live in Tucson, I really don't know just what rain is, but I have definitely staggered into the kitchen on more than one occasion. I certainly can relate to this!!!!

Talk about waking up in a fog. Reminds me of my neighbor's sudden onset of Alzhiemer's when she put her husbands pants and wallet in the microwave.~Ames

Yours is so funny! I just love it. And it reminds me of myself. I'm still in the process of moving. Now I have all of these boxes to unpack and find places for everything. I have done a lot of stupid things during the move.
