Lost Love Found

It's Saturday Centus time once again! It's the time when her Highness, Jenny Matlock, raises her sceptre and commands us to entertain the court with our cleverness. (Is that a word?) Here is my stab at it, with the prompt in bold.

April squirmed as the plane began to make its descent. She had played out this scenario in her head endlessly. They had been high school sweethearts. When his family moved away, they lost touch.

“What will he look like” she thought. “Will he recognize me? I don’t look like I did 30 years ago.” It was a miracle they found each other. For the last six months they had written or spoken to each other daily. Both now unattached, their strong feelings for each other could not be masked.

As she came down the escalator, she saw it; and the sign read, “MARRY ME!”

Hope you found this at least slightly amusing. Please gallop over on your trusty steed to Jenny's castle by clicking on the log below. You will be greatly amused when you do!

Romance. I love it. And something that I would love to happen to me....well, if I was 35 years younger and not married yet. :)

You did a great job putting a big story in a few words. It always makes me feel kind of mushy when these stories happen in real life.

As my head swelled with the whole "your highness" thing, I had trouble concentrating.

And then I focused, and I'm glad I did.

This was so wonderful and romantic. It makes me long for something sweet like that.

However...

My husband did go to the store this morning to get me some fat-free half and half. Does that count?

Neat use of the prompt.
