To Live the Dream
"I'm living the dream, man," she thought to herself as she sat down to begin her day's work. It's not enough to just smile and be cordial to everyone coming through the office. I have to actually produce something? Well, bring it on! I love challenges! I love pressure! I love living every moment as though I’m going to stroke with my next heartbeat!
Then, I come home to the adult children who languish about. The same children whose tuition I now pay with my "dream" job.
My babies are my world, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
This dream post is brought to you by Jenny, from Off On My Tangent! Each Saturday we are given a prompt with which we are to create a masterpiece of so many words (of Jenny's choice - this week it is 100) and share it with the world. The prompt this week is the first sentence of my post (that's why it's in bold). Thanks for stopping by today. Please click on Jenny's logo below, and enjoy the writings of some buddies of mine.
Have a great weekend!

Liz, what a great post!!! I haven't written my Centus yet, but will later on today. If you didn't read my Alphabe-Thursday post, please do. I speak about MY babies as well.
Liz, wonderful post!!! I haven't written mine yet, but plan to later. If you haven't read my post for Alphabe-Thursday, please do. I write about my babies, as well!
Glad my kids are all done with college now. And, as a result, I am retired!
I do miss those work challenges sometimes, though...
=)
PS. But not very often ;)
Well done. But do I detect a note of sarcasm? ;) The thing is, it's hard to tell when you don't know the author. I made a comment to my step-daughter something along those lines and she looked me in the eye and said 'sarcasm is just a way to hide what you really meant to say, but didn't have the courage to say'. Ouch.
Anyway, nice take on the prompt. And a great looking family!
This is SO the PERFECT Dream, count yourself truly Blessed!
Hi Pretty lady! I'm not reading your SC yet, but please come by and see me!

I love it! Yeah, I miss my kids and wouldn't mind coming home to them!
Haha, things like that make me happy mine are still babies!
Lovely post. Great shot of your family.
Best wishes,
Anna

Beautiful family you have there! Happy Sunday!
Oh, I can relate well to a lot of what you've written. "stroke with my next heartbeat!" and "adult children who languish about." It's universal! I love it.
Nice to live your dreams, isn't it! It is nice to have your children close. All of ours lived withing 100 miles until one took her family to London.
I am sorry I am so late with the Saturday Centus.
..
I often wish my children still lived here...even though they're all 30 something!
I don't know if I'd like working while they were languishing though.
Good, realistic twist to this prompt!
