The Not So Quiet Storm

I took this picture earlier today, knowing that things would get a little noisy and wet! I was not disappointed. Welcome to Sundays in My City!

I'll admit it! I'm still 10 years old! I hope I always stay this age. It's the one thing that helps me stay hopeful about life and change and appreciation for the little things...like thunder. lightning and snow! When Mother Nature comes calling, we open up all of the miniblinds and take a seat. We love to sit together during a good storm when the house is dark and the skies light up. We all fake our best horror movie screams and then laugh until our bellies hurt! I will do the same for snowstorms. I sit and watch the snow fall like young girls watch "Twilight" or "New Moon" or "Eclipse." Actually, it's not only young girls who are mezmerized by the series... right ladies?

Last night, St. Louis played host to Lady Gag Gag! Of course, Edwina & Katya were a part of the hysteria and dressed accordingly! They fit right in with the crowd! It was sort of deja vu of my days of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." To be honest, I never saw the movie until it came on TV. I only heard about the audience participation from acquaintances.... Say hello to my baby Gags!

Have you heard of Unknown Mami? She has a delightful blog where she shares photos of her city on Sundays. She invites the rest of us to link up with her and share some of our own city's photos. Click on the logo to visit Sundays in My City!

I live in St. Louis, Missouri. Welcome to my city!

I'm with you on thunder and lightening!

And your girls look great! I hope the concert was a blast. I hear Lady Gaga puts on quite a show.

I hope you never outgrow the impulses of a 10 year old.

I also love a good thunderstorm. I may have to enjoy the next one
a la Liz.

I LOVE LOVE a good thunderstorm too. It´s especially good if it comes with a big rain. The way you watch it is what we do too, minus the screaming. :) But it is interesting like any good movie.

I love a good thunder storm! The sounds are amazing!

Was the movie all that you had hoped. I think I am the only person in America who has not read the books. I keep meaning too!

I slept through a lot of yesterday's storm although the rumbling lasted a really long time (it wasn't too bad in south county). I did however, get a few shots of today's sky. Some of that was GREEN!

I never got into the RHPC hype, either. Looks like your girls had a ball! :)
